Ceramicist Mindy Oberne's Charity Fundraiser

Hospitality House is a nonprofit community shelter for the Homeless in Nevada County funded primarily by individual donations. The year-round shelter is a safe haven; those seeking shelter at Hospitality House are offered three meals, along with laundry and shower facilities. Hospitality House is committed to ending homelessness by providing intensive case management services to all its guests.

Persimmon ceramic artist Mindy Oberne has donated 100’s of bowls for the Hospitality House's Empty Bowl fundraisers over the years. This year Covid has hindered their ability to have a regular fundraiser, so Mindy decided to do one herself at the small gallery on her property (Twin Star Gallery).  100% of all sales will be donated to Hospitality House.  There is a matching donor who will double all that is raised. Tis the season.

The gallery houses Mindy's ceramic work , functional as well as decorative pieces, with a variety of styles ranging from an Asian influence to the Mad Hatter.

There is also photography by Mindy's husband, Roger Lewis, as well as by Mindy herself.

This “Weekend of Giving” will be December 5-6 from 10am to 4pm, at 13169 Twin Star Lane in Grass Valley.  We are 5 minutes from the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
